Hotel Ullensvang is seeking a Pastry Chef

We are currently looking for a creative, passionate, and skilled Pastry Chef who wants to help give our guests an unforgettable taste experience. At Hotel Ullensvang, you will have the opportunity to express your artistic talents by crafting and creating exceptional treats with a focus on exquisite flavors and aesthetics. As our Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for all sweet baked goods, desserts, and confectionery in our kitchen. You will help lead the development of new, seasonal creations while ensuring high quality in our signature products. You will also play a key role in our kitchen, where you will have extensive creative freedom to shape our culinary offerings.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Menu development: Design and develop innovative desserts for the buffet, Fjord Bar and Bistro, and baked goods aligned with our concepts and seasons

  • Production: Ensure efficient, high-quality production from scratch to finished product. Everything from macarons and cakes for the buffet to plated restaurant desserts—every day

  • Quality assurance: Maintain the highest standards for taste, presentation, and hygiene

Qualifications and personal qualities

  • Certificate of apprenticeship as a pastry chef or relevant education

  • Experience from high-quality hotels, restaurants, or patisseries

  • Creative, innovative, playful with textures and flavors, and with a strong aesthetic sense for presentation

  • Works in an organized manner and delivers consistent results in a high-paced environment

  • A team player with good communication skills

  • Genuine passion for the craft and stays updated on the latest trends and techniques
